Infrastructure

The state-of-the-art infrastructure of Future Media School will prompt students to apply their talents and chisel their creative skills. FMS aims at becoming one of the leading education providers in the media industry, and to achieve it, the institution spared no efforts in providing resources that are essential to foster an enriched learning experience.

Shoot Floor

FMS shoot floor (4)The media lab was built upon the fundamental idea of creating professional ambience to provide a ‘look & feel’ of the industry. A 1200 square foot covered air-conditioned shoot floor with full-length chroma wall, Kino studio lights and a production control room (PCR) with on-line AV switcher is available for the students to give shape to their imagination.

Fiction, non-fiction films, ad filmmaking, digital photography, news anchoring are some the application areas where students will try their hands at the shoot floor.

Apple Mac Lab

A dedicated AV lab fully equipped with iMac computers which includes both Apple Final Cut Pro (FCP) and Adobe CS package is available at a student’s dispense. This equipment will help sharpen their skillset on non-linear editing, graphics &animation, and audio recording & editing.

Classrooms

IMG_0016All media classrooms are self-contained media hubs – installed with projectors, high fidelity speaker systems & internet on demand, thus, giving, both students and teachers the access to knowledge and technology, of the highest order.

Book & Video Library

IMG_5993A dedicated library containing relevant books on every aspect of media studies including photography, journalism, radio and television production, filmmaking, advertising, public relations; and, other periodicals & journals as well as film DVDs/CDs are available, alongwith reading room.

Activity Clubs & Study Tour

To support a holistic development of the students several activities will be arranged, round the year, which include filmmaking, debating, dramatics & performing arts, multi-city seminars & workshops along with study trips to introduce them to the industry in a simulated & engaging environment.

Study Tools

study_pic1Every media student will be given a camera (digital Handy cam/DSLR), a laptop and a 1 TB external hard drive, as learning aids. Students will be able to use these tools for their class assignments and practical classes – individual or group projects.

Non Academic Credit Points

Besides the curriculum and regular activities, each student will be required to earn at least six non-academic credit points during the tenure of their study. These credit points will have to be earned by engaging & participating in extracurricular, skill development and NGO activities.
