Media Science

Project-based, critical analysis and experiential learning based programme will provide students with theoretical as well as applied learning. General course topics will focus on applied media, electronic media, media history and film.

Student Eligibility

Prerequisite for admission into 2 year full time MSC Media Science program in FMS

  • Honors graduate/pass graduate with diploma in mass communication from any recognized Indian/foreign board or institutions and those having additional qualification in public speaking, writing, photography, videography, painting & performing arts will be given preference.
  • Students who are due to appear for their final year graduation exams may be given provisional admission.
  • Good verbal and written communication skill is a must.
  • Admission is based on FMS Aptitude Test, Academic Records, SOP and GD/PI.

Non Academic Credit Points

Besides the curriculum and regular activities, each student will be required to earn at least six non-academic credit points during the tenure of their study. These credit points will have to be earned by engaging & participating in extracurricular, skill development and NGO activities.

Study Tools

Every media student will be given a camera (digital Handy cam/DSLR), a laptop and a 1 TB external hard drive, as learning aids. Students will be able to use these tools for their class assignments and practical classes – individual or group projects.
